Jazz Chisholm Jr. hit a two-out, three-run homer in a five-run first inning off Walker Buehler Friday night for the host New York Yankees, who raced out to a big lead and earned a 9-6 victory over the Boston Red Sox in the first meeting of the season between the rivals.Buehler (4-4) was one strike away from stranding two in the first but hung a 0-2 curveball. Chisholm’s clout carried landed on the netting above Monument Park.Chisholm added an RBI single in the third and is now 5-for-7 lifetime in the regular season against Buehler. He finished with three hits and is 8-for-16 in four games since returning Tuesday from a 28-game absence due to an oblique strain.Anthony Volpe hit a two-run homer into the right-center field seats in the first but also left the game with a left elbow contusion after being hit by a changeup in the second. Volpe was hit with the bases loaded and Paul Goldschmidt scored after reaching base via a throwing error by Boston rookie Marcelo Mayer.Aaron Judge had three hits, including an RBI single in the fifth. Judge ended the night with a .397 average.Goldschmidt blasted a solo homer in the sixth as the Yankees won for the 20th time in 27 games since dropping three straight May 3-5.
