Yankees sign RHP Lou Trivino, move OF Jasson Dominguez to 60-day IL

The New York Yankees signed right-hander Lou Trivino to a one-year contract for the 2024 season with a club option for 2025.Reports pegged the deal at $1.5 million for the upcoming season and $5 million for 2025.Trivino, 32, is not expected to start the season with the Yankees. He missed the 2023 season after being diagnosed with a right elbow strain during spring training and undergoing Tommy John surgery on May 3, 2023.In 2022, Trivino was 1-2 with a 1.66 ERA and one save in 25 appearances after being acquired from the Oakland Athletics in a six-player deal at the trade deadline.He became a free agent following the 2023 season.Trivino is 21-25 with a 3.86 ERA and 37 saves in 285 appearances (one start) over his career with the A’s (2018-22) and Yankees (2022).
