Report: Yankees favored to sign RHP Marcus Stroman

The New York Yankees are the leading candidate to sign free agent right-hander Marcus Stroman, MLB Network reported Wednesday.The two-time All-Star opted out of the final season on his contract with the Chicago Cubs in November, walking away from $21 million to chase a long-term deal.Stroman, 32, and the Yankees have had “productive discussions” recently, per the report. Stroman also told USA Today he was “seriously interested” in joining New York.
