The New York Mets designated outfielder Khalil Lee for assignment on Monday.Lee was the subject of a lawsuit filed last week in federal court in Syracuse, N.Y., in which his ex-girlfriend alleges that he pulled her hair and choked her last May.SNY reported that Major League Baseball is investigating the accusations.Lee, 24, appeared in just 13 major league games across 2021 and 2022 with the Mets. He batted .100 (2-for-20) with a home run, a double and four RBIs.
