Francisco Lindor homered and doubled while Brett Baty drove in three runs to propel the visiting New York Mets to a 5-1 victory over the Boston Red Sox on Wednesday.Baty broke a 1-1 tie with a bases-loaded single against reliever Brennan Bernardino in the seventh inning that scored two runs. Bernardino came on in relief after Liam Hendriks (0-1) surrendered three consecutive singles to load the bases.Lindor hit a solo home run in the ninth that finalized the scoring. It was his 10th long ball of the season.The victory allowed the Mets to avoid a three-game sweep.
