BALDWINSVILLE, N.Y. — The Island Takeover summer concert series continues to grow, with Matt Maeson officially added to the lineup for a live performance on Papermill Island this July.
Maeson joins the brand‑new Island Takeover series, which launches this summer and brings national touring artists, themed nights, and community events to Papermill Island from June through September. The newly announced show further strengthens the concert lineup as Island Takeover establishes itself as a major summer destination for live music in Central New York.
The Matt Maeson concert is scheduled as an outdoor waterfront show at Papermill Island on Tuesday, July 21st, with doors opening at 6 p.m. and the show starting at 7 p.m. Tickets for the performance will go on sale Friday, April 17 at 10 a.m. exclusively through 95X.com.
Island Takeover’s concert schedule already includes national performances from Almost Monday on June 9 and Joe P & The Crowe Boys, with special guest Braison Cyrus, on June 14. More announcements are expected in the coming weeks.
Presented by Cumulus Media Syracuse, along with 95X, 93Q, and The Score 1260, Island Takeover is designed as a full‑season experience rather than a one‑off festival. The series features a mix of ticketed concerts and free community events, including themed music nights, Movie Nights, Night Markets, and family‑friendly programming, with events taking place nearly every week on the island.
Located along the Seneca River in Baldwinsville, Papermill Island will serve as the central hub for Island Takeover throughout the summer, offering a scenic waterfront setting for live entertainment and gatherings.
