SYRACUSE, NY — The Syracuse Mets have announced a change to the start time of their Opening Day home game, moving first pitch up one hour to 3:05 p.m. as the team looks to maximize the opportunity to play amid an uncertain weather forecast.
Ballpark gates will still open as originally scheduled at 2:00 p.m., and all parking lots will open at their regular times.
From a broadcast standpoint, fans can catch Syracuse Mets Opening Day coverage beginning at 2:50 p.m. on The Score 1260, available on the air, online, and through the station’s app.
All tickets for the game will remain valid, and the updated start time will not impact any scheduled promotions. Fans attending Opening Day can still enjoy the Knit Trapper Hat Giveaway presented by Gannon Pest Control for the first 2,000 fans, along with the Amazin’ Giveaway Pack, Taco Tuesday, and entertainment from Jeff the Magic Man.
The Syracuse Mets encourage fans to monitor the team’s social media channels for any additional updates or information related to Opening Day.
