Fresh Additions for the 2026 Season
Fans can expect several upgrades around the ballpark this year. A newly installed closed‑captioning system, supported by HearingLife, will make in‑stadium entertainment and announcements more accessible to all. Live local music becomes a regular feature thanks to the Chevy All‑American Music Series, bringing regional artists to the stadium throughout the summer.
Food lovers will see the debut of Local Eats: A Taste of Central New York, a rotating showcase that invites area restaurants and food trucks to serve up hometown favorites during full homestands. Meanwhile, the team introduces a Fan Pass, offering guaranteed admission to every Mets home game at a value-friendly price point designed to get more fans into the ballpark.
Weekly Staples Return
Popular recurring promotions are back on deck:
- Taco Tuesdays
- We Care Wednesdays presented by Excellus BlueCross BlueShield
- Dollar Thursdays
- Fizzy Fridays with post‑game fireworks
- Super Saturdays
- Kids Eat Free Family Sundays
The home opener is set for Tuesday, March 31 at 4:05 p.m. against Toledo, kicking off the promo calendar with the season’s first Taco Tuesday.
Giveaways and Opening Week Fun
More than 25 giveaways are planned across the 2026 season, ranging from commemorative baseballs and apparel to over a dozen themed jerseys making appearances throughout the summer.
Opening week also features an Easter Sunday celebration on April 5, highlighted by a pregame egg hunt and brunch. Kids will enjoy free admission from Wednesday through Sunday of the first homestand as part of a “Kid‑Stravaganza” to start the year.
A Busy Calendar of Theme Nights
The Mets will sprinkle in a wide selection of theme nights and special experiences across the schedule. Early in the season, April brings “Hot Dogs and Heartbreakers: A Sports Romance Novel Night,” followed in May by the team’s side of the annual food-inspired showdown against Rochester in “Duel of the Dishes.” Later in August, fans can expect a tongue‑in‑cheek celebration of fandom during “Life of a SMets Fan Night.”
Cultural and heritage nights are a major part of the summer as well, including three separate Latino Nights (honoring Mexican, Puerto Rican, Dominican, and broader Latin cultures), plus dedicated evenings celebrating Haudenosaunee, Polish, Irish, and Italian heritage.
Seasonal Highlights & Community Celebrations
Several long‑running traditions return to the stadium this year:
- Jackie Robinson Day
- Little League Day
- A special tribute marking 150 Years of Baseball in Syracuse
- Bark in the Park nights, giving fans the chance to bring their dogs out to the ballgame
Summer also means big theme days like Star Wars Day, Scooch’s Birthday paired with National Ice Cream Day, and a Pirates & Princesses event geared toward families.
One of Central New York’s most beloved traditions, Salt Potatoes Power Move Weekend, comes back in August for a two‑day celebration of the region’s iconic dish.
Throughout the year, the Mets will host multiple appreciation nights recognizing bus drivers, first responders, cancer survivors, community organizations, and more.
The season closes with two fan traditions: Wall of Fame Day on September 5 and Fan Appreciation Day on September 19.
