Baseball season is right around the corner, and the Syracuse Mets are once again opening the doors to NBT Bank Stadium for their annual Open House on Saturday, March 7th, running from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is free and gives fans an early look at what’s ahead for the 2026 season.
One of this year’s big draws is the appearance of former Mets reliever Turk Wendell, who pitched in Queens from the late ’90s through 2001. Wendell will meet fans, sign autographs, and take photos inside the Metropolitan Club from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
The Open House also marks the first opportunity to buy 2026 single‑game tickets, including Opening Day. Fans can also pick up season seats, flex plans, and previously purchased ticket packages. The Onondaga Coach Ticket Office officially opens for the year at 10 a.m., with regular weekday hours beginning March 9th. Online sales will go live that same morning.
Visitors can also take part in guided stadium tours, which run every 15 minutes and cover areas like the clubhouses, suites, batting cages, and the Syracuse Baseball Hall of Fame. Space is limited, so fans will need to sign up upon arrival.
At 11:45 a.m., general manager Jason Smorol will host a Fan Forum that includes the unveiling of the team’s 2026 promotional schedule, a look at the upcoming season, and a Q&A session with fans.
The Team Store will be open throughout the event with new merchandise, and both parking and admission are free. The stadium is cashless, so visitors should plan to use cards for any purchases.
The Mets open their 2026 home schedule on Tuesday, March 31st, welcoming the Toledo Mud Hens for a 4:05 p.m. first pitch.
