Sabres acquire D Miller from Golden Knights

The Vegas Golden Knights traded defenseman Colin Miller to the Buffalo Sabres for two draft picks on Friday.

Buffalo sent a second-round pick in 2021 and a fifth-rounder in 2022 to Vegas.

Miller, 26, had 29 points (three goals, 26 assists) in 65 games for the Golden Knights last season. It was his second season with Vegas after he spent his first two NHL campaigns with the Boston Bruins.

Miller has three seasons remaining on a four-year, $15.5 million deal he signed in the summer of 2018.

Miller has 99 career points (22 goals, 77 assists) in 250 regular-season games. In 30 postseason games, he has four goals and seven assists.
