Report: Tebow’s Triple-A season over due to injury

A deep cut on his left pinky suffered in July will end the Triple-A season of New York Mets minor league outfielder Tim Tebow, according to Newsday’s Tim Healey.It’s the second consecutive season that Tebow, who turns 32 on Wednesday, has been shut down due to injury.According to the report, the Mets expect Tebow to return for a fourth professional season next year.In 77 games with Triple-A Syracuse this season, Tebow finished with a .163 batting average, four home runs and 19 RBIs. He also struck out 98 times.
