Jets release RB Crowell with Bell in tow

One day after signing Le’Veon Bell to a $52.5 million deal, the New York Jets released incumbent starting running back Isaiah Crowell.Crowell signed with the Jets in free agency last March after four seasons with the Cleveland Browns. Crowell’s release initiates a $2 million cap hit for 2019.He had a team-high 143 carries for 685 yards and six touchdowns for the Jets in 2018.
